The Colorado Live Steamers is a non-profit organization of people interested in building and operating large scale model railroad equipment. We are located on approximately 120 acres in Byers, CO, about 40 miles east of Denver.

The first 7 ½" gauge loop was completed in June of 1998. To date we have laid approximately 3,200 feet of track and have built the 102 ft wooden bridge which completes the first loop called the Johnson Loop. The organization's overall goal is a 2.5 mile, 7 ½" gauge point-to-point mainline railroad. We have begun our northwest expansion through 2 tunnels and over the steel truss bridge.
The Boulder Model Railroad Club (BMRC) is the Premier Model Railroad Club for Boulder, Broomfield, Adams, Jefferson Counties and beyond in Colorado . The BMRC is about having fun with model railroading. The club has no club layout, which means it can - and must! - appeal to a variety of skills and interests. It has something for practically everyone, from the person who only sets up a train at Christmas, to the "tin plate" collector, to the high-tech DCC operator, to the "rivet counter," to the historian, or to the foam module creator.
The objective of Youth in Model Railroading is to introduce and promote interest in model railroading, and teach modeling techniques to youths through research, education, community outreach, and to promote the growth and enjoyment of the hobby. We also provide an atmosphere of fellowship by offering members the opportunity to communicate, develop and share with other youths.
